Pastor John Córdoba and his family in front of the church

IBNN · New Birth Bible Church

Church · Arraiján · Pastor John Córdoba

Pastored by John Córdoba, Iglesia Bíblica Nuevo Nacimiento in Arraiján, Panama, is a testimony to God's ability to redirect our plans for His greater purpose. In 2017, the Córdoba De Sousa family arrived in Panama from Venezuela for what was intended to be a simple family visit. Through God's providence and a connection with Randy Weets, they were introduced to a congregation of primarily Kuna believers that was experiencing a season of transition and recovery. On December 15, 2017, the family answered God's call to remain and serve, beginning a journey that has made New Birth Bible Church not simply a ministry assignment, but their home.

Their ministry is centered on discipleship through biblical teaching, family Bible studies, and the Soldiers of Faith children's ministry, while also walking alongside couples and families through seasons of brokenness, growth, and faith. Over the years, they have witnessed God strengthen the church, restore families, lead people to salvation, and deepen lives in Christ.

The Living Water Retreat Center has also become an important source of encouragement and refreshment for the Córdoba family as they continue serving through difficult and demanding seasons. Today, they remain committed to helping Iglesia Bíblica Nuevo Nacimiento grow as a lighthouse for Christ in Arraiján, investing in believers, families, and the next generation while trusting God to multiply the fruit of their labor.

Pastor José González preaching

IBA · Friendship Bible Church

Church · Panama City · Pastor José González

Pastored by José González, Iglesia Bíblica Amistad, "Friendship Bible Church" in Panama City is a testimony to God's grace, discipleship, and faithful investment in people. José first encountered the Word of God as a child, but at nineteen, Ephesians 2:8–9 opened his eyes to the truth of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. From that moment, God placed faithful mentors in his life, including Juan Liao and Pastor Randy Weets, who became a spiritual father and helped shape his heart for ministry.

After studying theology in Argentina, José married Isabel in 2005, and together they returned to Panama to serve the Lord. For more than twenty years, José has faithfully invested in Friendship Bible Church, first serving alongside Pastor Randy and now serving as senior pastor. Alongside a dedicated team, he leads the church in evangelism, discipleship, counseling, leadership development, and helping people discover the hope found in Christ.

The Living Water Foundation and Living Water Retreat Center have become an important part of that journey, providing opportunities for José, his family, and other ministry leaders to find encouragement, renewal, training, and fellowship. Through Friendship Bible Church and its partnership with Living Water, the gospel continues to take root in lives, families, and churches throughout Panama and beyond.

PCA · Panama Christian Academy

Christian school

Panama Christian Academy (PCA) has been an important part of the Weets family's ministry and a lasting investment in the next generation in Panama. Founded with a desire to provide quality Christian education, PCA seeks to equip students academically, spiritually, and personally to become people who serve God and make a difference in their communities and around the world. Its education is grounded in biblical truth, emphasizing the development of character, faith, leadership, service, evangelism, and a heart for missions.

Through the years, Randy and Donna Weets have played a significant role in the development and ministry of PCA, helping establish a foundation where students can grow in both knowledge and their relationship with Christ. Their involvement reflects a broader commitment to investing in families and future leaders, believing that when young people are equipped with truth and encouraged to live out their faith, their influence can extend far beyond the classroom. Today, Panama Christian Academy continues that mission by preparing students to become Christ-centered individuals who are equipped to serve God and impact the world around them.
